A graduate of Northern Arizona University, Zachary Vachris leverages a diverse educational and professional background in his current position as a hockey coach and administrator. Over the years, Mr. Vachris has held multiple positions in the hospitality industry, including serving as a front-of-house trainer at five-star resort Grand Del Mar in San Diego. Also a graduate of the College of Bartending in Seattle, Zachary Vachris has tended bar for private functions in the Seattle area and at restaurants in and around the San Diego area.

Over the years, Zachary Vachris has also gained customer service and retail management experience as a Costco employee and as manager of a water sports retail shop and a photography company. Additionally, he has served internships in the construction management and legal fields.

Currently, Mr. Vachris leads as youth hockey director of Icetown Carlsbad, a role in which he oversees youth player development and manages operations for eight teams. Concurrently, he serves as coach for the Anaheim Ducks High School hockey team and as age group manager for the Junior Reign youth hockey organization. In these positions, he draws on an accomplished career as a high school and collegiate hockey star. A Conference Player of the Year while a student at Poway High School, he also served as the Northern Arizona University hockey team captain from 2012 to 2014.
